Sponsored by District 5340 Pathways to Peace Committee, this seminar is for club Peace Chairs and for those who would like to be Peace Chair for their club.
Purpose of Seminar:
- Meet Peace Chairs from District 5340 clubs; review function/role of Peace Chairs
- Share ideas for potential peace programs for the 2013-14 Rotary year
- Discuss speakers/programs for World Understanding Month in February, 2014
- Orientation to District 5340 Pathways to Peace program
World Understanding Month has grown into a highly visible program throughout the Rotary world.
In February each club has special speakers on peace and world understanding, world understanding moments, peace projects and presents a peacemaker of the year award to a worthy community member.
Special guest - Carl Kruse our new District Governor will deliver a short presentation to highlight the value of the District Pathways to Peace committee.
